Who I am

Chrono X is a sole trader business run by Christian Murphy in Melbourne Victoria. ABN 34 213 253 985. Contact me at christian@chronox.com.au.

What I collect

The contact form collects your name and email address. It also collects your message and topic. Your website is optional. Timing and budget are kept if you give them. The site stores your IP address when it is supplied by the hosting service.

Why I collect it

I use your details to reply and prepare a quote. I also keep a record of the work. I do not sell your details or add you to marketing lists.

Where it goes

Your enquiry is stored with Vercel and an email alert reaches me through Resend. Both run servers outside Australia, including in the United States, and I take reasonable steps to keep your details safe. If a webhook alert is on, it carries your enquiry but not your IP address.

If storage fails, the enquiry goes to the server error logs and the form asks you to email me instead.

Analytics and cookies

Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies. This site sets no cookies of its own.

The site keeps small settings such as volume and the last disc side in your browser. It also remembers whether you have seen the start-up. These settings use local storage and session storage and stay on your device. Fonts are served from this site itself.

Ledgeline, Redact and Substrike

The Ledgeline demo runs in your browser with sample data. What you type in it stays in your browser's local storage and is not sent anywhere. Clearing your browser data removes it.

If your business uses Ledgeline, our agreement covers how I handle your data and your customers' data. Your customers are covered by your own privacy policy.

Redact runs in your browser. Your file is not uploaded. The selected Whisper speech model downloads from Hugging Face once and is cached in your browser for reuse. It may download again if you change models or clear the cache.

Substrike is sold and supported at substrike.com.au under its own terms. Paddle handles its checkout. This privacy page covers only chronox.com.au.

Your rights and how long I keep enquiries

Email christian@chronox.com.au to ask to see or correct or delete what I hold about you. I reply within a reasonable time.

I keep enquiries until I no longer need them to reply and keep a record of the job, or until you ask me to delete them.

Complaints

Email me first if you have a privacy concern. If it is not resolved you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
